I am a mixed media artist who creates magical and distinctive photographs that are usually based on history, stories and tourism.
I am originally from Canada, and have lived in Scotland since 2005. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Mount Allison University, NB, Canada and I gained an associate distinction from the Royal Photographic Society in 2020 for my Scotland's Chequered Throne ® collection.
One of my favourite techniques is levitation photography which was introduced to me by a friend. I decided to try this technique with a deck of cards and the only one I could find had Scottish Monarchs on them. I knew I had to do something extraordinary with them and thus began the Scotland's Chequered Throne ® collection.
